Riz Khan is a seasoned non-profit executive, community organizer, innovator, and investor with over two decades of experience in global markets. His expertise spans market development and building strategic partnerships, all driven by a commitment to transforming ideas into successful ventures, scaling them across diverse industries, and fostering growth and success working with multibillion-dollar conglomerates across the globe.
Riz is the President of Little Angels Foundation, a non-profit charity in St. Louis, Missouri, dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness, children, and refugees by providing healthy and delicious food, clothing, and essential supplies. Riz has been highlighted in numerous local and national media outlets for his dedication to community outreach, earning him and the organization several accolades and awards, including Former President George HW Bush's foundation Point of Lights, Exceptional Neighbor by St. Louis City, and Enterprise, Champion of Diversity & Inclusion from St. Louis Business Journal, among others. In his role on the Board of Directors since 2022 for the United Nations Association, St. Louis chapter, and Global Goal Ambassador with UNA-USA, he has been instrumental in advancing SDG #2, which strives for Zero Hunger.
Riz earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from the Stern School of Business, NY, and leadership certifications from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Riz loves fancy cars and likes to drive on highways. He enjoys watching action sports, writing poems, and spending time with his family. Riz believes in an Equal Sky For All.
Joanna is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and the Institute for Informatics, Data Science, and Biostatistics at Washington University School of Medicine. Her research interests lie at the intersection of computer science, social and organizational sciences, and implementation science. Joanna’s research focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative and cutting-edge tools and protocols to promote patient safety and patient-centered care.
In her free time, she spends time with her husband (Thomas), daughter (Becca), dog (Romeo) and guinea pig (Othello). Her hobbies include watching movies, playing games, hosting and cooking for family and friends, etc.
With 15 years of expertise in Human Resources, I am a strategic HR leader dedicated to driving organizational success through talent engagement, leadership development, and data-driven insights. Throughout my career, I have harnessed data to craft strategic HR solutions that optimize organizational performance, including attrition modeling, compliance insights, and workforce optimization. Passionate about creating inclusive, high-performance cultures and leading initiatives that empower senior leaders to accelerate career growth. I played a pivotal role in shaping the leadership pipeline through global development programs and spearheaded impactful D&I initiatives that fostered career progression for women leaders. My expertise in HR analytics has allowed me to turn data into actionable insights, driving decisions on attrition, performance, and resource planning. I was honored to be named one of The Top 100 T A Pai Young HR Leaders 2021 by People Business and The Economic Times. Outside of my professional career, I am committed to giving back and volunteering with St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the Missouri History Museum.
Ishita Shah is a junior at Marquette High School in Chesterfield, MO, driven by her commitment to academics, leadership, and community service. Ishita plans to pursue a future in computer science, using technology to create solutions that benefit both society and the environment. As the founder and president of the Girls Who Code Club at her school, Ishita strives to empower young women to explore and excel in STEM fields. Ishita is also passionate about environmental advocacy. She serves as a National Operations Director for the Junior Philanthropists Foundation, where she works to push for environmental policy at both state and national levels. In her free time, she enjoys painting and swimming. She also values giving back to her community, regularly volunteering through the National Honor Society and local initiatives. She is honored to volunteer with the Little Angel’s Foundation and support their mission.
Rebecca is a junior at Thomas Jefferson School in St. Louis, MO, passionate about STEM research and its role in healthcare. Beyond academics, she is a dedicated community leader and has raised over 10K funds for several non-profit organizations, including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She has also launched a school snack bar to raise funds to buy toys, books and blankets for the Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
In her role as a Youth Champion of Little Angels Foundation since 2021, Rebecca has helped with supporting food and clothing drive for the Afghan Refugees, helped cook monthly meals for homeless and for shelters. Occasionally, she also makes an effort to set aside time to pack hot boxed meals for the homeless.
Rebecca’s blend of academic excellence and impactful service work highlights her compassion and drive to make a meaningful impact on the St. Louis community and beyond.
Danny Speck is a self-taught artist. Putting his creative talents to paper makes him happy, and helping others does. Dan faces challenges in his day-to-day life. He has sustained two surgically induced brain injuries to help control seizures. Although these events have impacted him both physically and cognitively, his abilities outweigh his disability. He eagerly volunteers with the Little Angel Foundation as they compassionately reach out to those in need in the community.
